Something Good...

I borrowed these prompt ideas from my #bloggoals fave Meet Me At Mikes
Check out her blog! Its one of my blogging inspirations!

Something Good To Do

Interview your new tarot deck - I did this, and I don't think my deck likes me very much! So I will hopefully cleanse it and have another try. The images on this Tarot Of The Devine by Yoshi Yoshitani are amazing!

Something/s Good To Know

What to do when your children are sick. Sick Happens on Instagram is an amazing resource for parents and families. It has information about fevers, choking, head bumps, and much much more. I recommend checking it out.

Something Good To Watch

I have finished The Boys (Amazon Prime), Ratched (Netflix), and Utopia (Amazon Prime) in 2 weeks. Now I need something else to watch. All these 3 are quite violent, and full of adult themes, so if you’re okay with that definitely give them all a go.

Something Good To Read

The Panic Button Book by Tammi Kirkness is “a step by step guide to neutralize worry, overthinking and anxiety”, it asks questions and helps guide you through things that might help you neutralize the way you are feeling. It has sections covering Living and working, Socialising, Relationships, and Parenting. I have found the Parenting section so helpful over the last 2 months as I try to stay on top of my anxiety, that has returned in full force after having Bubba.

That’s why I picked up issue 8 of Mindful Parenting. I was drawn in by the article, “A Spirited Bunch” about helping children awaken their curiosity and wonder. This is something that I’ve been passionate about as an educator, and even more so now as a parent. I can’t wait as Bubba gets older to show him about the world!

Something Good To Listen To

This One Wild and Precious Life by Sarah Wilson. A follow up book to the amazing First, We Make the Beast Beautiful (which saved me during my most anxious days). I haven't made it that far through it yet, but I'm enjoying it.

"This One Wild and Precious Life is a soul's journey through the massive complexities of climate change, coronavirus, the racial inequalities and our disconnection from what matters…and back to life. As in, big, wild, vibrant, connected life. I hike around the world (Jordan, Outback Australia, Japan, Sierra Nevada) for three years to share this latest adventure, following in the footsteps of Nietzsche and my favourite poets and thinkers, and sharing wild, hopeful wisdoms and vibrant solutions to arrive at a true path through the despair…to our better world. Do you want to sleep through the revolution? This One Wild Precious Life is published August 25, 2020 (Pan Macmillan Australia), 29 November 2020 (US, Harper Collins)"

Something Good To Cook

I'm planning my 202 Christmas Cookie Hampers. I made cookie hampers for my family in 2018 and I had such a great time. Since I'm home full time looking after Bubba, I'm planning on doing it again! I want to try a few different techniques this time, like using fondant (and painting on it like watercolour) and using royal icing to decorate. I love looking at inspiration on how to present them! I can only dream! Here are the photos of my 2018 Christmas Cookie Hampers.

Who doesn't love a good cookie!? Do you prefer soft and chewy, or crispy and crunchy? This cookie is both. The original recipe is by Christina Tossi of Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC (I would love to get there one day and try her Crack Pie), this recipe was adapted by We Are Not Martha, and its amazing.

It involves making a Cornflake Crunch. Then you add that, AND Chocolate Chips, AND mini marshmallows to the dough to make amazingly indulgent cookies!

They are definitely something good to cook!

Something Good To Buy

I have been coveting We Might Be Tiny products since pre-pregnancy. They make these amazing silicon plates, bowls, lunch boxes, and more. They recently announced the pre-order for their Poddies. Super cute shaped silicone bake wear (and freezer safe too) for making amazingly cute foodstuffs. I can't wait until Bubba is eating, and can't wait to make lunch boxes for him!

Pre-orders are available now, with shipping at the end of October!

Something Good To Make

I wish I could knit... more like, I wish I had the patience to knit! I would love to add these two little froggies to Bubba's soft toy collection!

The pattern is available foe $15.00 at Frog and Toad.

If you want to make them for Bubba, I'd be a very happy Mumma!

What is something good happening in your life at the moment? I have found that focusing on the good things, even if they seem small, has a dramatic impact of my mood and minimises my anxiety. Leave a comment if you would like :)

Love Molly.
